IRS is eliminating paper checks. While most of us already use direct deposit for refunds, we want to warn you that if you want a paper check IRS is saying it will take 6 weeks to be issued.

If you owe taxes, IRS strongly advises making your payment online to avoid delays. This can be done either by “direct payment” at IRS.GOV, or through your online IRS account. Setting up an online account takes about 20 minutes, but allows you to make payments, set up payment plans, check your account transcripts, review notices, etc.
